PODBEAN

Podbean is a great site to host your podcasts, and it's free. You can then add your podcast to your blog using their built in player. Very cool. After registering, you can change your password to whatever you want. The home page may be a bit confusing, but after you log in, just click "publish a podcast" to get to your account. Podbean works just like a blog. It even has a dashboard. Click on the player below to hear an embedded podcast that was downloaded from Podbean.

Podbean appears to be a great site for pod casting and the cost is perfect, free!
For me, this is all new technology and very time consuming. I would like to arrange my own song together in a site and enjoy them at some quiet time.

I am not a podcast person but there are a lot to choose from on this site(some a little too racy for me!) I can see that it would be easy to have a central place to listen to so many files.

The attached podcast makes me think of the low-tech morning announcement show I was involved with in high school. There are so many new ways to share information, and I'm sure I will learn new things from my students every day.

I've signed up of Podbean. I'd hope we would do a group lesson on it in class. It looks very interesting and useful.

It's great to have someone out there to host audio for us. Watch out, though: I clicked on your link to Podbean, and the first listing in the "popular podcasts" on the screen was called "Open Source Sex"!

Podbean can be useful for students to make up missed class time; and for parents, to help their children with projects and homework assignments.

This could be a great resource if used carefully-- like john mentioned, there is some questionable content out there. I could really see myself using this in English class as a way to read-aloud poetry, phonetic excercises and rhythmic short-stories. It could also be helpful to the aural learners!
